The ROM (registration of marriage)

Probably one of the easier parts of getting married is legally registering our marriage at the Department of Internal Affairs.

Totally recommend it if you want a (kinda) stress free ceremony - make an appointment, pay the license fee, make sure everyone turns up on time (your  two witnesses of course) and voila! you are officially married :)

Chilling out before getting married...cool, calm, collected...

First up, Leels and Bernie!

We were the witnesses...

And we present to you...Mr & Mrs Poon!

Next up...our turn!

Wedding bands, locked and loaded.

Getting ready...Elliot taking in an extra breather hahaha!

Having a laugh as usual...

Saying our vows...with sniggers and giggles no less...

Signed, sealed, delivered!

Our witnesses...

Done deal!

Not too happy with the bouquet...

Ahhh much better

Thank you to everyone who joined us that afternoon!

And...
Congrats to us! xoxo

The bouquets!

Now, if you know us well, we are not the girly-girly types so bouquets wasn't on our priority list to get married.

But Bernie decided we should get prettied up with some flowers so he decided to buy Leels and I some floral bouquets * thanks Bernie!*

Naomi of Leaf and Honey was very accommodating and said yes to our request although we were only two days away from the registry!

The brief: spring floral mix, colourful and not too girly/feminine

Not sure how flowers can be unfeminine but in the end we loved it as it was an amazing mix of flowers, berries and greens

The flower arrived two hours before the registration, yay!

Oh decisions, decisions...

We even tried to get the boys to help us choose...

but they knew better not to get involved hahaha!

Final choices, made! You like?

31 August: Pre-Registry lunch @ Sidart's, Ponsonby

Great food, great ambience, great view, great company.
Lunching at Sidart's on Friday for the five-course lunch was definitely a good choice
